Geoscientists Without Borders Strategic Planning

August 5-7 Geoscientists Without Borders (GWB) held a strategic planning session at the Post Oak Lodge in Tulsa, Oklahoma to review the amazing accomplishments of this young (4 years old) organization, and to plan for the future. I have served on the proposal review committee for about a year now, and I can tell that we receive excellent proposals from all over the world. Whether it’s searching for sources of clean water in the Honduras, assessing landslide hazards in Brazil, or earthquake fault delineation in Jamaica, students are the heart of every project.

I strongly encourage you to visit the GWB website, read about the projects, and think about how you can help. This is an organization of which we should all be proud.

Geoscientists can make a difference!
