Spotlight Feature Series

The Cybersecurity in Application, Research, and Education (CARE) Lab wants to ackowledge and elevate underrepresented groups in cybersecurity. We are doing spotlight features for four events in 2023:

Black History Month, February 2023 (we are still accepting submissions!)
Women’s History Month, March 2023 (submissions due February 25th, 2023)
AAPI Heritage Month, May 2023 (submissions due April 25th, 2023)
Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15-October 15, 2023 (submissions due August 25th, 2023)

You could be an undergraduate student, a middle school teacher, a journalist, someone from industry, government, or a nonprofit organization. You could be from any discipline that works in cybersecurity (computer science, engineering, psychology, business, policy, anthropology, media and communications, law, etc.) – we want to know more about you!

We will try our best to feature all the submissions we receive as long as they are relevant!

This is where you tell the world about you in "your own voice"! We have limited your text to 200 characters (with spacing) taking into account 15 characters for your twitter handle, 22 characters for the hashtag #HispanicHeritageMonth or #BlackHistoryMonth or #WomensHistoryMonth or #AAPIHeritageMonth. Don't add any links here as that's what the "Learn More About Me" QR code is for. So think wisely about your tweet! Please note that we will be using the same text for LinkedIn and Instagram if you have provided us with your accounts on those platforms.
This is for internal use only should we need to get in touch with you. It will NOT be shared publicly.
