Monitoring inside stormwater pipes

I found a new technique to install loggers and sample inside stormwater pipes.  I found a pipe seam wide enough to hold a meter stick, then attached the sensors to the meter stick.  It has held in place for several modest sized storms this summer.  A second meter stick helps catch debris before it hits our sensors.  This set up is in a basin in Upper Moreland and we are hoping to configure a similar set up in the basins along I-95.  The data is used for two students who are monitoring multiple basins:  Ashleigh Kirker, PhD candidate, and Naomi Morgan, master’s student.
