Drone shortcourse launched

I started teaching a 1 credit drone course this semester to introduce students to the joys of unmanned flights  I have 3o undergrads and 10 grad students in the class. The course gives me an excuse to keep in touch with former graduate student Dr. Jim Berglund about what is going on in the drone world.  He sent me this image to compare the size of wings for a drone on earth versus the same size drone on Mars (with less dense atmosphere).  Our Temple drone would require propellers the size of a small aircraft to get enough lift on Mars!

A few of the students with their drones.
