Spring semester undergraduate research

I am meeting with a couple of undergraduates this semester for independent studies. Rachel Crowly is reading papers about contamination in karst systems, and will follow up with some sampling of local springs.  Trevor Murray is reading about groundwater-surface water interaction and  learning how to do temperature monitoring to measure the interaction in an urban stream. See example fit below, which tell us that there was a downward flux of about 60 cm/d.
