Just received a new NSF Education grant through the GeoPATH program. The project is Career paths for urban geoscientists: Recruitment, retention, and apprenticeship. I will be working on developing new education initiatives along with my colleagues Jon Nyquist, Alix Davatzes, and Carol Brandt. Looking forward to expanding our majors and providing them new opportunities. The project starts Fall 2016, but we are already collecting background data and have recruited a couple of good graduate students to help us with the project.
