Flavia Astete Garcia was recently promoted to Social Media Director for the Temple chapter of Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) at the Fox School of Business.
ALPFA is a national organization that focuses on professional development and provides career resources to Latinx students.
Garcia applied for this position because of her pride in being Latina and because of her commitment to the organization’s goal to help empower others in the Latinx community.
She believes the skills she gained as a social media intern for Temple Global Engagement have helped her stand out as a candidate for the position and adds to her confidence in being a successful Social Media Director.
“I’m very excited to showcase my skills in a club that values my heritage and who I am,” said Garcia.
