Ellen Herman, Jim Berglund and I had two new papers accepted this past month. The first is a book chapter summarizing our recent data from central PA springs and comparing it to the data from Shuster and White (1972). We use the paper as a forum to suggest some alternate classification schemes for karst springs (see figure). The paper will appear in the book Karst Water Environment, edited by Madeline Schreiber, Tamim Younos and Katarina Kosic Ficco.
Jim Berglund took the lead on a second paper for the Karst Sinkhole Conference, based on the isotope data during storm events at Tippery and Near Tippery springs. He will be presenting the paper in Shepherdstown, West Virginia next month.
