Prospective Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows
TEDp is particularly well suited for those interested in a career in academia and research in university and medical research settings. Our graduate students bring unique experiences and knowledge to our lab which range from animal neuroscience, neuromodulation research, and neuroimaging research. Graduate students are also strongly encouraged to pursue opportunities to present and publish research.
Dr. Chen is currently accepting graduate student applications for the Clinical Psychology area in the Psychology Department. More information on how to apply can be found here.
Prospective Research Assistants
The lab is also an ideal fit for undergraduate students and post-baccalaureate students who demonstrate a keen interest and motivation in gaining clinical research experience. We require at least a one-year commitment.
Research assistant (RA) responsibilities include participant screening and recruitment, data coding and entry, conducting literature searches, and assisting in the daily maintenance of lab projects. RAs who demonstrate exceptional potential, are dependable, and are able to make a longer commitment to the lab are often able to gain additional experiences including assisting on projects that could lead to authorship on papers and/or conference presentations.
We are particularly looking for pre-med undergraduate students with an interest in the administration of behavioral and imaging protocols, and the cleaning and organizing neural and behavioral data. We are also interested in undergraduate students with a background in computer science who have experience coding in Python, R or MATLAB.
We are currently accepting applicants for honors’ credit, independent study credit, or volunteer experience. If you are interested in applying for an RA position in our lab, please send a cover letter, CV or resume, and three telephone references to Dr. Chen at Eunice.Chen@temple.edu. If a potential research assistant is currently in a class that Dr Chen is teaching, we ask that you apply after the class is finished. Our mandatory undergraduate research meeting is held on tuesdays. Please also complete this form.TED RA Application
