The Technical University of Munich (TUM), a leading research university in Europe, honored Temple Professor Jason Thatcher, a past guest researcher there, as a TUM Ambassador, along with 10 other researchers from around the world.
“We are grateful that Professor Thatcher took the opportunity to work at our university as a guest scientist for some time, thus advancing and promoting scientific exchange in his field” said Thomas F. Hofmann, president of TUM.
Hofmann bestowed this honor on Thatcher, who he cited as “a renowned scientist” and “one of our excellent research alumni,’ at a ceremony on July 17 at TUM’s vivat TUM concert. Professor Thatcher’s work is part of Temple’s commitment to lead in global research.
