Patterning Self-Assembled Monolayers Organized monolayers on solid substrate have the potential for controlling molecular architecture and chemical properties. Complicated patterns with nanometer size can be easily fabricated by AFM nanolithography on the surface. The diffusion of adsorbed molecules can be investigated by STM and AFM on the boundary of patterned surface.

Dr. Kyoungja Seo received her B.S. and Ph.D. from Chonbuk National University in Korea. Dr. Seo continued her research at the National Creative Research Institute (Center for Smart Molecular Memory) in electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) in Korea where she focused on STM studies of molecular memory.
