The Honors Interdisciplinary Minor in Social Justice

We are SO excited to announce Honors’ very first minor – the Honors Interdisciplinary Minor in Social Justice!! You can learn more about the SJ Minor on our website here, but we encourage you all to come to our info session this Friday, April 29th at 12pm in the Lounge to hear from Bryant and Amanda about the requirements and learn how you can declare the minor! RSVP for the info session here!

⭐ About the minor: This interdisciplinary Honors minor will investigate pressing questions – What is a just society? How do we define social justice? What are the social, political, economic, and cultural forces or factors that create injustice? How can injustice be eradicated? Why is social justice an issue for everyone?

The minor approaches these questions from a broad range of perspectives. It will provide students from all majors with the opportunity to incorporate in-depth analysis and awareness of social issues into a wide variety of fields and possible career paths. It will help them as scholars, researchers, lawyers, doctors, scientists, and business and IT experts to think about a wide range of solutions to these pressing problems.
