Join us for our next Field Trip Friday event! We are going to take a walking tour of the Philadelphia Gayborhood on Friday, April 12th!
About the tour: Get under the skin of queer Philly. Discover the controversies, paradoxes, and hidden histories of the only formalized Gayborhood in the country. Let’s talk and spill all that historical tea hunny! Tour includes: The evolution of Pride, Kiyoshi Kuromiya, America’s longest continuously-operating LGBT- and feminist bookstore, Barbara Gittings, Controversies of Racism in the Gayborhood, A tribute to Gloria Casarez, and more!
We will depart campus at 4:20pm on the dot! The tour starts in the Gayborhood at 5pm.
