Dr. Yang Yang Featured in International Editors’ Session Hosted by the International Association for Tourism Economics (IATE)

Dr. Yang Yang was recently invited to participate in a special Editors’ Session hosted by the International Association for Tourism Economics (IATE). The session brought together scholars from across the global tourism economics community for an in-depth discussion on academic publishing, methodological innovation, and the evolving interdisciplinary landscape of tourism research.

Dr. Yang joined Prof. Gang Li, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Tourism Research, to share reflections drawn from their editorial experiences. As Senior Editor of Tourism Management, Dr. Yang discussed emerging trends in tourism analytics, the importance of methodological rigor and transparency, and the growing integration of applied economics, data science, and management research within leading journals.

Key themes highlighted during the session included:
