My background is in physics, materials science, electron microscopy, and nanoscale characterization. My work focuses on advanced microscopy methods, interdisciplinary research applications, and teaching. Outside the lab, I enjoy backyard gardening, cross-country skiing, photography, and hands-on DIY projects.
I’m the NIC’s postdoctoral fellow with a background in inorganic chemistry and experience in advanced materials characterization, including X-ray diffraction & scattering, Electron Microscopy, and thermal analysis. At the NIC, I focus on user support, instrument operation, and development of new facility capabilities. I’m eager to assist users in exploring all of the new capabilities our instruments can unlock!
I’m a 5th year PhD candidate in the Chemistry department with a background in heterogeneous photocatalysis and a strong focus on transmission electron microscopy and nanoscale materials characterization. I have experience in TEM sample preparation, imaging, and analysis. Outside the lab, I enjoy running, watching the Eagles, and exploring trying different Philadelphia restaurants.
I’m an undergraduate student studying bioengineering with an interest in cellular and tissue engineering. At NIC-EM, I work on user support and sample preparation. Outside the lab, I enjoy playing tennis and reading.
I’m an undergraduate student studying Computer Science with an interest in product, design and compute. At NIC-EM, I work on web development and media. Outside the lab, I enjoy exploring Philadelphia’s various cafes and building consumer projects.
