Outreach to Philadelphia area high school science teachers

Dr. Sewall led a teacher training on ecological interaction networks, with a special focus on mutualistic plant-pollinator networks, to high school science teachers in the Philadelphia area on August 8-9, 2011.  The training was designed to assist local teachers to promoting in-depth understanding by high school students of local ecological systems through an interactive, inquiry-based learning approach.  This outreach effort was part of the Situated Assessment Using Virtual Environments for Science Content and Inquiry (SAVE Science) initiative of the Department of Education at Temple University.
