The School of Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality Management successfully hosted the 2025 Tourism, Hospitality, and Events (T.H.E.) Analytics Case Competition, bringing together outstanding student teams for an evening of data-driven problem solving and professional engagement.
Teams from Temple University, the University of Delaware, Penn State Berks, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Sun Yat-sen University showcased exceptional analytical rigor, creativity, and presentation skills while addressing real-world challenges in tourism and hospitality analytics. The competition highlighted the growing importance of data literacy and applied analytics in preparing the next generation of industry leaders.
The event was co-organized with industry partner CoStar STR for providing high-quality industry data that anchored the competition in real-world relevance. We are also deeply grateful to the six judges from academia and industry whose expertise and thoughtful feedback elevated the learning experience for all participants.
Congratulations to the three winning teams for their outstanding performances, and sincere appreciation to all students who participated. The strong support from STHM faculty and colleagues made this event a true celebration of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in tourism and hospitality analytics.
