| Join us for the October 2025 pick of 8th Grade Book Club here in Temple Honors! This month we are reading The Giver by Lois Lowry. Ways to get the book: The Temple Library or your branch of the Free Library Honors has a copy – email lizzie@temple.edu We will meet in-person in the LOUNGE from 4-5pm (note the room change!)Thursday, October 23 (read entire book) We’ll order pizza, chat about the texts, reflect on how our understanding of these texts might have changed since reading it in middle/high school, and make connections to our classes, present day, and other pieces of literature. Also join us on Thursday, October 30 for a movie party where we’ll watch The Giver film adaptation! |
