Bio Research Position

The Liberles Group in the Biology Department is looking for undergraduates in search of a research experience for credit at the interface of molecular evolution, comparative genomics, computational biology, and mathematical modeling/simulation.

Projects to choose include:

🧬 simulations and theory to address questions in the evolution of genome organization and content

🧬 phylogenetic pipelines on comparative genomic data to test hypotheses generated by computational studies.

Students intending to major in any CST discipline who are interested are invited to apply.

Students should have:

⭐ Some computer programming experience

⭐ Some coursework in biology

⭐ and consider themselves “good at math”

There is a preference for students early in their academic career (including freshman and sophomores) who would have time to learn and then see a project through to publication and for students interested in pursuing Ph.D. level research.

If you are interested, please contact David Liberles, daliberles@temple.edu.
