Testing for independent school admission
- Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI) or Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) depending on the age of the child
- Self-report background questionnaire (e.g., reason for referral, family history, current functioning)
- Comprehensive written report and a parental feedback session (approximately 2-3 weeks after testing is completed)

Neuropsychological assessments
- Completion of a background clinical interview and current assessment of functioning
- Completion of typically 2-4 sessions, each lasting 3-4 hours, which includes a battery of tests that assess multiple domains depending on the presenting concern (e.g., executive functioning, processing speed, perceptual reasoning, memory, attention, academic achievement, adaptive behavior) by requiring individuals to read, draw figures and shapes, listen to recorded tapes, view printed material, and manipulate objects
- Comprehensive report and client feedback session reviewing the report and performance (approximately 4 weeks after testing is completed)
The goal of these assessments is to evaluate attention, memory, language, problem solving, or other thinking abilities
