Martha is a sixth-year Clinical Psychology doctoral candidate in the MADLab. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2014 with a B.A. in Psychology. Martha’s research interests broadly encompass pathological aggression and violence. Specifically, her research focuses on exploring therapeutic interventions for problematic aggression, particularly for those with intermittent explosive disorder (IED) and related psychopathology. Martha completed her Master’s thesis on predictors of treatment outcome in cognitive-behavioral therapy for IED in 2017, and her dissertation examined the role of therapeutic alliance in cognitive-behavioral and supportive psychotherapy for IED. Currently, Martha is completing her clinical internship at the VA Puget Sound, Seattle.
