Halla is a first-year doctoral student in the MADLab. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2023 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Biology. Halla then spent two years in Washington, D.C. as a post-baccalaureate research fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health. There, she studied the roles of cognitive, neurobiological, and behavioral risk factors in suicidal ideation (SI) and suicide attempts. In the MADLab, Halla plans to continue researching the development of SI and how various risk factors may impact the transition from ideation to attempt. Outside of the lab, Halla loves reading, hiking, exploring new coffee shops, and hanging out with her cat, Grendel.
