Jurisdictional Immunities and Human Rights

In Fall 2016, the Carnell Chair co-sponsored an engaging presentation by Enzo Cannizzaro, who holds the public international law chair at the University of Rome (“La Sapienza”), on the complex interplay of jurisdictional immunities and human rights in international and constitutional courts. Professor Cannizzaro is a founding editor of European Papers – A Journal of Law and Integration and a member of the scientific review board of the European Journal of International Law. He is the author or editor of 10 books, including The Present and Future of Jus Cogens and The Law of Treaties Beyond the Vienna Convention.
