The mission of the Graduate English Association (GEA) is threefold:
- Community-Building: Fostering inter- and intra-departmental community by hosting and promoting social events
- Professionalization: Developing resources and workshops relevant to graduate students’ professional interests
- Advocacy: Providing forum to represent graduate student concerns and liaising with faculty through representation on the Graduate Executive Committee
The GEA serves all graduate students in the English department, regardless of program (Literature, Rhetoric/Composition, or Creative Writing) or funding status (TA, GA, fellowship, or otherwise).
Through this website, the GEA aims to provide an up-to-date resource base for the information and events that are important to Temple graduate English students, faculty, and the greater Temple and Philadelphia community.
