Grasping in Infancy Study

Welcome to our exciting new study!

As babies grow and learn about the world around them, they are discovering their own body and learning how to control it! We think the way babies grow is amazing! Currently, we are looking at how infants learn how to grasp over time. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the majority of this study is virtual! Families have the chance to earn up to $170 for participation! This study starts with babies at 6-months-old and runs until they are 14-months-old.

We are currently recruiting families with infants around 6-months-old! Interested in participating?

Click on this link and fill out this survey and we will contact you about the next steps!

What do you have to do for the study?

Send our lab a video every two weeks of your baby grasping at a pen multiple times. This lasts until your baby is 14-months-old. At that point, if it is safe, we will have you come into our lab for a session where your baby will wear a fancy hat that records their brain waves! Feel free to take all the cute pictures you want as we turn your baby into a baby scientist! After wearing the cap, they will do some other activities and then you’re free to go!
