Eligibility
- Student going into their last year of undergraduate training (must be a student at Temple University the spring prior to summer programming and semester following)
- Interest in research with no prior experience
- Member of Underrepresented Populations in the U.S. Biomedical, Clinical, Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Enterprise
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident (per NIH funding requirements)
On the application, we ask the following questions:
- Why are you interested in research in general?
- What research topics are you most interested in?
- How will conducting research help you meet your career goals?
- Have there been any obstacles that have prevented you from getting involved in research prior to entering your senior year?
- What do you hope to get out of this experience?
Tips for the application
- Please answer all questions thoroughly, and take your time when filling out the questionnaire.
- Your faculty reference should come from someone who can attest to your academic integrity. Ideally, this would come from a professor who had you as a student in one of their courses.
- You do not need prior lab experience when applying to our program!
