Teaching

The cornerstone of my teaching philosophy is that the most effective way to teach someone is to involve them in the learning process in a manner that encourages them to develop an active interest in the subject, and push the boundaries of their own abilities to learn. Through my experience in teaching Supply Chain and Operations Management to varied audiences, I have appreciated how the methodologies of involving the students need to be adapted to the composition, the size, and the stated learning objectives of a class, and to approach a particular class with an appropriate teaching toolbox.

In addition to the teaching experiences in a classroom setting outlined below, through my  professional experiences as a post-MBA management consultant, I have often been a trusted advisor to the client. In this capacity, apart from analyzing and designing solutions to supply chain problems, I also had to educate and align the management on an actionable execution plan. I have organized, conducted, and managed several workshops and meetings with senior leadership. Students of business and management, who often have extensive practical experiences that they bring to the classroom discussions, connect with my experiences in advising businesses and driving change.
