Team J.O.E. competes in ASME competition

team_joeOn April 23, 2016, Senior Design Team J.O.E., as the only Temple team, competes in the ASME Student Design Competition 2016: Manufacturing the Future, held at Rutgers University. This year’s challenge is to build a compact engineering system in order to manufacture a projectile from a standard sheet of paper and test it by propelling it a maximum distance. The Temple team successfully completes two runs out of three trials, and the maximum launching distance is more than 18 meters. The Temple team ranks 4th based on the score of distance divided by the volume of the launching machine. Congratulations to all the team members, Neal Hambrecht, Jeremy Messner, Amanda Kauffeld, and Joe Hampson, for the success in their senior design project and the completion of their B.S. degrees.
