Mission

THE RAHMAN LAB / MY MISSION

Good chemistry is the best chemistry.

To make science approachable, we must first nurture curiosity, freedom, and an interest to learn in our students. Only then can we introduce specific knowledge about the field.

Start with a question.

Curiosity gives us a place to begin. At the bench, in the classroom, or in the garage, I value the questions that lead us to look more closely and test what we think we know.

Build understanding together.

Good science depends completely on how we work with people. I aim to create spaces where questions are welcome, explanations are accessible, and every student is encouraged to participate.

Let evidence guide the work.

We all learn together; we share what worked, what surprised us, and what we still need to understand.

Connect knowledge with practice.

The Rahman Lab brings these values into research, education, and hands-on projects. Each offers a chance to turn curiosity into something we can observe, explain, and share.
