The Temple TESOL Language and Linguistics Speakers Series is a university-wide forum organized and sponsored by the TESOL Program at Temple University. The series features lectures by internationally renowned scholars as well as rising scholars who do ground-breaking work on a variety of aspects of language learning, teaching, assessment, bilingualism, etc. Past speakers include Alexandre Duchêne (University of Fribourg, Switzerland), Rod Ellis (Curtin University, Perth Australia), Joan Kelly Hall (Pennsylvania State University), Zhaohong Han (Teachers College, Columbia University), Diane Larsen-Freeman (University of Pennsylvania), Bonny Norton (University of British Columbia, Canada), Lourdes Ortega (Georgetown University), and Elana Shohamy (Tel Aviv University, Israel). The series is funded by the generous financial contribution of Dr. Koji Shimada.
