Apply to be a Peer Mentor/Peer Advisor!

Honors Peer Mentors (HPMs) and Honors Peer Advisors (HPAs) are upper-level Honors students looking to give back to the Honors community by assisting new students in their transition to Honors, Temple and Philadelphia. They are trained in various communication and counseling skills, referral strategies and student development theory and are then matched with new students to help them adjust to and succeed in college coursework, develop time management and academic success skills, and connect them with Temple and Philadelphia resources.


Requirements
👭 HPMs/HPAs must be on main campus for Spring 2026 and Fall 2026. If you are studying abroad, you are ineligible to serve on the 2026 cohort.

👭 HPMs/HPAs must complete the 1-credit HPMTraining course in the spring to serve as a mentor. Two sections of this course will be offered. If you cannot register for the class, you are ineligible to serve on the 2026 cohort.

👭 You must be accepted to the program to register for the course. Interviews will be scheduled after the application deadline.

To be considered for this position within the Honors Program, complete the following application by November 9th. All applicants will be notified of group interviews after this date.
