Health Disparities Research Lab (HDRL) – hiring research assistant

The Health Disparities Research Lab (HDRL) is focused on conducting research on the intersections of interpersonal health communication, chronic and end-stage kidney disease, and organ donation and transplantation. The HDRL seeks to hire an Undergraduate Research Assistant (URA) to provide part-time administrative support to carry out NIH-funded grant studies and other research projects/activities of the principal investigator, Heather Gardiner (PhD, MPH). The position works under direction of the Research Coordinator and will report to the PI on a weekly basis.

Salary range: $15 per hour (15-20 hours per week)

Supervisor: Jessica Barker/Heather Gardiner

Purpose of Position: The URA will be responsible for the day-to-day activities required to complete ongoing research projects. Specifically, duties include:

⭐ Entering data

⭐ Complete transcriptions of audiorecorded research interactions

⭐ Filing

⭐ Editing grants and manuscripts, and managing references

⭐ Conducting literature searches

⭐ Coordinating mailings

⭐ Carrying out other research-related duties as assigned
