From the artist:
Daydi—a playful childhood nickname that has followed me throughout my life, meaning “wanderer” or “carefree wanderlust” in Uzbek. Its sweetness lives in my mother’s laughter—”Oh, Daydi!” she’d giggle as I returned from my many adventures. The very phrase that accompanied me across oceans, from Italy to Japan, carrying with it the essence of a life lived in motion.
My work is an ode to impermanence, to the pull of fate that leads us to unexpected places. Through mixed media collage and on-site sketches, each piece becomes a time capsule—fragments of memory, emotion, and discovery, intertwined with architecture molded by human experience.
