The STEM Learning Lab at Temple University conducts research that lies at the intersection of the fields of cognitive developmental science and education to investigate the development of math skills and how students learn math. Our research program consists of several strands, each of which takes a bidirectional approach—using cognitive principles to improve education, and drawing on findings from authentic educational settings to improve our understanding of cognitive development.
