Welcome to the Temple University Partnership to Support Teachers Pursuing National Board Certification

Through a generous grant from the William Penn Foundation, Temple University’s College of Education is pleased to partner with the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers, the School District of Philadelphia and The National Board of Professional Teaching Standards to offer a comprehensive program supporting Philadelphia public and charter school teachers in obtaining National Board Certification.

The goal of this program is to help more teachers in Philadelphia and the surrounding area achieve National Board Certification. Certification has proven benefits for teachers, students, and schools, but is a complex and challenging process. Our project will help experienced teachers attain this important milestone in their careers. We will support you over the estimated one to five years required to complete the four components, offering expert guidance as well as a network of peers to guide you through the process.
