Martha is currently a staff psychologist in the VA Boston Healthcare System. She works in the Women’s Trauma Recovery Team (WTRT) providing individual and group therapy and assessments to veterans, as well as clinical supervision for psychology trainees at all levels, and engaging in program evaluation. Martha completed her pre-doctoral internship at the VA Puget Sound, Seattle Division, and a post-doctoral clinical fellowship in Posttraumatic Stress Disorders at VA Boston. Martha’s clinical and research interests include severe emotional and behavioral dysregulation, aggression, suicidality, and how these intersect with history of trauma. In addition to trauma-focused therapies, Martha has a strong background in (and absolutely loves practicing) Dialectical Behavior Therapy and coordinates the DBT Track in WTRT. Martha is passionate about working with underserved and marginalized populations and serves on multiple committees supporting inclusivity in the field and multiculturally-responsive care. In her spare time, Martha loves enjoying the patios of local restaurants, musical theater, and curling up with her cats and a mystery novel.
