Dr. Liu has been invited as a guest associate editor for a special issue on Bio-inspired Systems by the ASME Journal of Vibration and Acoustics. Topics to be covered in the special issue will include modeling of dynamical and acoustical structures in biological systems; bio-inspired acoustic and vibrational sensors and actuators; bio-inspired materials and structures for vibration control and isolation; vibration and acoustics-based energy harvesting inspired by biological materials and structures; and bio-inspired robotics.
The deadline to submit a paper is June 1, 2018.

Xiaolei Song joins LISTEN Lab as a Ph.D. student in August, 2017. Xiaolei received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Zhengzhou University, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing University of Technology. Welcome to Temple and our group, Xiaolei!
Dr. Zhijian Zhang joins LISTEN Lab on 7/28/2017 as a Volunteer Postdoctoral Researcher. Zhijian obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park in May, 2017. He will work on fiber optic sensors for ultrasonic imaging. Welcome, Zhijian!

Gustavo Antoniazzi joins LISTEN lab as a summer undergraduate researcher on May 23, 2016. As a participant of the Brazil Scientific Mobility Program, Gustavo is currently enrolled at University of North Florida.
