In celebration of Black History Month and Women’s History month during February and March, a photograph exhibit in Paley Library highlights the lives and accomplishments of black women in Philadelphia from 1930s to the 1970s. The photographs are from a number of collections housed in Temple Libraries’ Urban Archives Department, including the McDowell Philadelphia Evening Bulletin Collection. Thousands of photos from this collection are searchable and accessible via Digital Diamond.
