What is it?

• Professional certificate issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)
• Allows you to teach full-time in your content area without completing traditional student teaching
• Valid for 5 years of service
• Must complete the level-1 program within those 5 years

How it works:

• Secure employment under your emergency certification
• Enroll in Temple CTE Program
• Complete OCA Exam
• Apply for Experience-Based Certificate
• Complete Coursework and continue on to C&T I certificate

Steps:

• Complete Certification Request for Audit Link
• Audit completed within 2 business days
• TIMS directions are sent
• Apply in TIMS – send email to cteadv@temple.edu to request assistance
