Featuring works by Dan Virgen, Alex Glass, Yonatan Dvir, and a group improvisation by YOU the audience!

on The sign-up form for our Soundprints III concert is now available!
Soundprints is a concert hosted by conTemplum where we program works by student composers.
Sign-ups are open to anyone with an original composition, but you are responsible for recruiting your own performers.
Soundprints III will be on Wednesday, March 9th, at 5:30 pm).
The form is due next Monday, February 21st. If you have a composition you would like performed, even if it is not that recent, I highly encourage you to sign up! Happy composing!
on SPLICE arrives to Philly this Thursday!
Here’s the schedule:
Thursday 2/17, 11a-3p in Rock Hall: Open Rehearsal
Friday 2/18, 7:30p in Klein Hall: Concert, followed by Q&A with SPLICE + composers Ben Price & Alex Glass
The concert is free and open to the public. Bring some friends, family, etc. (unfortunately, no pets allowed)!
We could still use a few volunteers to help move gear from Rock to Klein on Friday between 3:15-4pm, and from Klein to Rock after the concert from 8:45/9 to 9:30pm.
Also, keep an eye out on the Boyer official instagram this Friday – conTemplum is doing a takeover for the SPLICE residency!

on Please join us this Wednesday evening at 8pm (yes, 8pm!) for a workshop on writing for guitar with composer & conTemplum treasurer Ben Price, who has experience in both the classical and the jazz worlds. The workshop will take place on Zoom.
Mark your calendars: next Friday 2/18 is our first big event of the semester, with SPLICE Ensemble. There will also be an open rehearsal with the group on Thursday. Stay tuned for more details!
on We would like to officially welcome back all Boyer students for the 2022 Spring Semester! Please look forward to the opportunities and events we have in store for the semester.
This Wednesday, we are super excited to host Wendy Bickford (DMA Clarinet) and Katherine Ventura (DMA Harp) for a virtual workshop. They will be discussing how to compose for their instruments both individually and together as a duo, and bring contemporary pieces for us to listen to.
We are planning to host Wendy and Katie again later this semester for an in-person reading session of new student works. If you’d like to compose for them, don’t miss the workshop this Wednesday!
The workshop will take place from 7:30-8:30pm on Zoom this Wednesday 2/2! See you there!
