Yunqian (Joy) Zou, firstname.lastname@example.org
Yunqian came from Chengdu, China, and earned her B.Sc. in Chemistry at Purdue University in 2018. She worked on hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) and reverse phase chromatography (RPC) for antibody IgG1 separation in undergraduate research. She received her Master’s degree in Chemistry at Ball State University in 2020, where she focused on studying the selective reduction of m-dinitrobenzene to m-nitroaniline and m-phenylenediamine by Ag/TiO2 initiated photocatalysis.
Yunqian joined the Borguet Group in Fall 2020, to engage in nonlinear optics research towards a Ph.D. She will investigate structure and dynamics at solid oxide/water interfaces using second harmonic generation (SHG) and sum-frequency generation (SFG) techniques. Her broader interests lie in the applications of nonlinear optics in electronics and biosystems.
