Josh Carey
Josh was born in Bristol, Bucks County, and raised in Levittown, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Neshaminy High School, Josh was accepted at Temple University on a provost scholarship. Josh is currently working towards a B.Sc. in physics with a secondary major in music performance on double bass, studying under John Hood of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Josh began research in the summer of 2016 in Dr. Sparveris’ lab focusing on developing a prototype system for reading select outputs of different pixels for PMT’s in Cherenkov radiation.
In Fall of 2016, Josh joined the Borguet Group. Josh focused on using ultrafast lasers to investigate electronic and vibrational properties of two dimensional materials.
