Temple Exchange Workshop

Welcome! We’re delighted to host an inaugural Temple Exchange Workshop on Friday, 22-March-2023. This event dovetails with the opening night of the 29th Annual Barnes Conference, so it’ll kickoff a generative weekend.

The invitational Temple Exchange Workshop brings together alumni from previous Erfurt and Sorbonne conferences to get feedback on pre-circulated papers. The theme, “Histories of the Americas in the World,” reflects the Graduate Program’s commitment to fostering international collaborations in the study of the American continents.

We’ll gather at the Center City campus that morning at 9AM, coffee and pastries included, before starting the first session. Around noon we’ll all get lunch together wrap up our final paper by 2:30PM, in time for a break before the opening plenary for the Barnes Conference.

Thanks to a generous faculty sponsorship, all workshop participants will receive free registration for the Barnes Conference and Temple Exchange Workshop. Workshop participants are also eligible to receive cash prizes for delivering conference papers. in multiple categories, including American, Military, World, and Public histories.

Inquiries should be directed to jacob.wolff@temple.edu and bryant.simon@temple.edu.
