Research Vision
Our vision is to transform the fundamental science of sensor technology, with a strong focus on acoustics, that has the potential to exceed the capability of sensor systems found in nature. To accomplish this goal, we conduct our research to tackle challenges from the “3M” aspects, i.e., mechanism, material, and mechanics. Specifically, we explore new bio-inspired sensing mechanisms, engineer advanced materials including nanomaterials and metamaterial, and develop a solid understanding of the underlying mechanics.
