Information Technology Services: A Call for Proposals

  • Are you interested in enhancing your Smart Classrooms with wireless projection?
  • Would you be willing to co-invest to enrich the Temple student-learning experience?

If you answered YES to the above questions, please consider submitting a technology proposal to upgrade one or more smart classrooms in your respective school or college with wireless projection. Computer Services will match up to 100% of your investment (maximum match of $5,000 per smart classroom).

Matching Funds: This funding includes the purchase of one Kramer device, one Apple TV device, two network connections/Ethernet drops (for the Kramer and Apple TV devices), one HDMI switcher and AMX programming. The room(s) identified must be smart classroom(s) with a wireless access point in the room, a projector with an HDMI input and an AMX display. If there are other needs for your smart classroom such as a new HDMI projector/display or AMX panel, the school or college will need to purchase this equipment, and/or use the matching funds to cover these costs.

Non-Applicable Matching Funds: We will not cover matching funds for electric, furniture, computers, mobile devices, wireless access points or facilities renovations. All reoccurring monthly charges (network connections) are the responsibility of the school or college.

This tech fee applies to new requests only and does not apply to previous submissions or smart classroom related work already in progress.

Proposals are due by July 31, 2016. If your proposal is accepted, please work with Telecommunications to schedule installation beginning the fall 2016 semester.
