Rising 2L Jeremy Giatras had a very productive summer at TLAO! Along with working with clients at Action AIDS and Liberty Resources and preparing cases for our fall clinical interns, Jeremy did in-depth legal work representing several people seeking SSI benefits. Among his clients, Jeremy built on the work of students in the clinic over the last year and wrote a letter brief to an administrative law judge on behalf of a 56 year old former house painter with AIDS and severe depression who could no longer do his past work. The brief framed the case for the judge and at the hearing, the judge followed Jeremy’s reasoning and ruled for the client on the spot. Congratulations to the client and to Jeremy for a productive summer.
