CIS 2109 Lab (Spring 2024)

All the necessary updates and hints for each lab will be posted on this page.

INFORMATION

  • Attendance is mandatory.
  • There are two submissions for each lab. One lab progress report and one lab report.
  • The lab progress report is due at the end of each lab at 5 p.m. on Fridays. You have to submit a document or screenshot that demonstrates you have made progress on the assigned task for the day.
  • The grade for the progress report is either 0 or 100. There are no partial grades.
  • No submissions for lab reports are to be accepted without the submission of a progress report. Yes, there are partial grades for the final submissions.

  • Midterm 1: 15%
  • Midterm 2: 15%
  • Final: 20%
  • Labs: 20%
  • Homework: 10%
  • Group Project: 20%
  • Discussion Boards and Extra Credits: 2%

Make sure to create your own user profile; do not use ADMIN.

LAB 4

You must complete at least ½ of the lab during the lab session – 7 questions. 

When you are asked to commit/rollback – remember that DML statements need a commit and can be rolled back (i.e. insert, update and delete). DDL statements (create, alter, drop, truncate) do not require a commit as a commit is executed automatically before and after the DDL statement.

Lab 1 is only about setting up the Oracle cloud account. So just follow the document.
