Photos & Summary

The 2019 Scholars of Color Conference (SOCC) boasted a program of over one hundred people, over thirty sessions, and over twenty sponsors. Our more than two hundred presenters and attendees came from a variety of backgrounds – from elementary schoolers to elder community leaders, from university-affiliated students and faculty to grassroots activists and independent scholars. They hailed from local, national, and international locations – as far as Canada, India, Nigeria, South Africa, and Egypt. We raised over $8,000, a quarter of which was devoted to travel grants for our presenters.

A big thank you to everyone, and your overwhelmingly positive feedback! We look forward to future iterations of SOCC.
