Communication

What is Science Communication?

Science communication is the practice of sharing scientific research, discoveries and ideas with audiences outside of the scientific community. Effective science communication translates complex research into clear, accessible information that empowers people to make informed decisions about their daily lives, health, and communities.

Our philosophy is that when people understand science, they trust it more.

SciCAP’s communications team collaborates with our advocacy and policy teams to strengthen their written, oral, and visual communication in addition to running our own initiatives.

Initiatives:

Initiatives for 2026-2027 include a workshop series, our first science communications symposium in collaboration with PSPDG students UPenn, a TUHS science fair, and the launch of our SciCAP podcast!
