VIDEO PROJECT!

For my project, I focus on our self-identified invisibility. I choose to shoot a short film that focuses on each student’s identity and how they feel invisible in our society. It opens up with me posing the question “What makes you feel invisible?” with students answering in a private interview answer. I then go on to speak on my invisibility. To tie connection to our class I would love to speak on the US caste system and the eight pillars and use those connections to tell our personal stories.

I then continue in the video for students to share what makes them feel visible. This is a storytelling piece that shares personal experiences and changes the trajectory of invisibility. In terms of the visual aspect, I start the video in black and white and then gradually build toward color. This signifies the invisibility people might see in others, conforming them to the two shades instead of allowing people to see the true colors of our personalities and stories.

Thank you for watching and being a part of the journey!
